About

Telmo M. Bento dos Santos is an Auxiliary Professor of the Department of Geology and a Researcher in IDL - Instituto Dom Luíz of FCUL - Faculty of Sciences, University of Lisbon since 2015, where he graduated in Geology (2003) and earned his PhD in Geochemistry (2008). Since then, he has been developing research in petrology, geochemistry and high-grade metamorphism, applying several techniques derived from geochronology, isotope geology, elemental geochemistry, petrology, geological mapping and structural analysis in order to find evidence of the geodynamic evolution of orogenic belts and of the lower crust. He has authored several scientific publications, is Editor-in-Chief of Geonovas and reviewer of several international scientific journals and member of the Directive Bodies of both the Portuguese Association of Geologists and of the Geological Society of Portugal.
