I am currently professor at PUC-Rio, Rio de Janeiro. Previously I was also postdoctoral fellow at MIT - Cambridge, United States. I obtained a joint Ph.D in computer science from the University of Montreal, and from Troyes University of Technology. My main domains of expertise are combinatorial optimization, metaheuristics, local search, integer and dynamic programming, with applications to logistics and supply chain management, production, telecommunications, relief, emergency, and humanitarian response.
