He was a co-organizer of Subspace2009 at ICCV2009 and Subspace2010 at ACCV2010, a local organizer of S+SSPR2012, and an area chair of ICPR2012 and ICPR2014. He translated the book "Computer vision: Algorithms and Applications" by Richard Szeliski to Japanese.
