Uta Staley


      Born in Germany, Uta Staley completed her education at the College of the Ursulines in Darmstadt before moving to America. A naturalized citizen since 1973, Uta Staley spent 25 years in the travel industry before her retirement. She is still passionate about travel; one of her greatest enjoyments is traveling the world, especially Africa, Asia, and Europe. In addition to her love of travel, Uta Staley nurtures a love of the arts, music, dance, and theater. She holds supporting memberships with a number of museums, including the Field Museum, the Museum of Contemporary Art, and the Chicago Historical Museum. Additionally, she belongs to the Chicago Symphony Orchestra, the Art Institute of Chicago, and the Lincoln Park Zoo. She enjoys classical European music, opera, and symphony, and particularly appreciates the works of Impressionist artists from around the world. Outside of the arts, Ms. Staley also enjoys watching football, basketball, and baseball. Her favorite teams are the Chicago Bears, the Chicago Bulls, and the Chicago Cubs.
