Víctor Peláez is a researcher in the R&D department at Fundación CTIC (Spain) since 2005. Immediately prior to that, he was developing research projects at University of Oviedo (Spain) for three years. His current research interests include: architectures and middleware for device integration in smart environments, ambient assisted living environments and context information management. He has published scientific papers in the areas of ambient intelligence, smart homes and user interfaces. As part of his research activities, he is also a member of working groups promoted by Spanish and international associations such as W3C. He studied computer engineering at the University of Oviedo (Spain) and is currently pursuing his Ph.D. in the same university.
