I am a IT professional by training and nature lover by heart. My interests are Biodiversity Documentation, Databases, Geographical Information Systems and Citizens science. After completing Masters in Computer Science, from University of Pune, I have been working with Foundation for Revitalization of Local Health Traditions [www.frlht.org].
I completed my PhD from University of Kansas and now working at the Florida Museum of Natural History as Post Doctoral Research Associate in Biodiversity Informatics.
I have also been associated with organizations like WWF India[http://www.wwfindia.org/], BNHS[http://www.bnhs.org/], RANWA[http://www.ranwa.org/], GBIF[http://www.gbif.org/] and MonarchWatch[http://www.monarchwatch.org/] in different capacities. I was part of the core team to initiate DiversityIndia[http://diversityindia.org/] in 2001 and have been coordinator since then.
