Accomplished data scientist and web developer with over six years of digital publishing and marketing experience. Very active in the areas of knowledge management and content marketing, both within and external to an organization. I'm passionate about the use of internet technologies to enhance communication and collaboration, and am very interested in the development of a networked science culture and the advancement of open source science. I have over a decade of academic and industrial experience in the areas of bioinformatics and computational biology. I'm skilled aggregating, integrating, analyzing and interpreting massive amounts of data, and I strive to generate actionable analytics and provide a broader understanding of the signals and mechanisms regulating disease development and progression. As a web developer, I focus on health/medicine and life science communications. I provide consulting and development services covering website design and usability, content strategy, social media marketing, search engine optimization, and online advertising to drive brand awareness. My long term professional goal is to build and manage a data marketing, communications, media and technology group that stays on top of the latest developments in content strategy, responsive design, social media, response-generated advertising and media relations to inform and drive organization messaging, content, and go-to-market activities.
