I received a PhD in Physics in March 2012 from the University of Warwick, UK. My main research interests in the past few years were of polymer physics, non-Newtonian fluid mechanics and active matters. The research I had been working on during the PhD was to study the dynamics of entangled ring polymers. The approaches of this study involved developing theories, employing Monte Carlo simulations and carrying out fluorescence microscopy experiments that use highly concentrated plasmids. After PhD, I joined Prof. Hsuan-Yi Chen's group at National Central University to investigate the dynamics of active protein inclusions on a lipid bilayer and the cell crawling via simple coarse-grained models. Meanwhile, I also studied the dynamics of microswimmers and the exotic conformation found in bacterial swarms. In November 2014, I have moved to Duke University to work on research of dorsal closure with Prof. Glenn Edwards in the Department of Physics.
