After graduating from WPI in 2005, I worked in the biotech industry as an RA and got involved with RNAi. I worked briefly at CytRx which spun off the RNAi therapeutics company RXi. At RXi I was instrumental in the development of their RNAi technology platform. My research led to several presentations at conferences, a publication, and over a handful of patents. After 2.5 years of being a Sr. RA at RXi, I decided that a PhD would be advantageous to my career goals. I did not go far for graduate school, since UMASS Medical School is one of the premier institutes for RNAi research. I have joined Phil Zamore's lab to study the biochemistry of RNAi.
