About

Winston Timp received a B.S. degree in electrical engineering in 2001, and B.S. degrees in biochemistry, chemistry, and physics from the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign, Urbana, in 2002, and the M.S. and Ph.D. degrees in electrical engineering from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology, Cambridge, in 2005 and 2007, respectively, working under P. Matsudaira at the Whitehead Institute for Biomedical Research. He then worked as a postdoctoral fellow under Andre Levchenko and Andy Feinberg at Johns Hopkins School of Medicine from 2007-2012 He is currently an assistant professor in the Department of Biomedical Engineering at Johns Hopkins University, Baltimore, MD. His research interests include biophysics, cell signaling, epigenetics, and DNA sequencing.
