Research interests

I consider myself as a materials scientist, currently working as postdoctoral research associate at the Department of Mechanical Engineering, University of Akron. My current research interest is to apply different non destructive techniques in system health monitoring of high temperature ceramic matrix composite materials. In particular, I focus on utilizing the techniques of electrical resistance measurement and the acoustic emission methods for the purpose of monitoring real time damage detection in CMC materials and structures. In addition my past experiences include the study the properties of high temperature superconductors which include novel materials like heavy fermion and iron based superconductors.
