A project that is completed within budget, on-time, and results in a satisfied customer is a goal for all project managers and project leaders. However, the project manager or leader cannot achieve this goal by themselves. The success of the project will be achieved by the entire project team. The project manager or leader must influence the project team so they will want to work hard toward this ultimate goal. There are several ways the project manager or leader can inspire, encourage, and motivate each project team member so they will perform their work to the best of their ability. Understanding the different personality traits, work ethics, values, and cultures of each project team member, the project manager or leader can proceed with how to motivate the team.
