Abstract

In this analysis of business model innovation, a key competitive instrument for major corporations, the author explores the concept of the business model, identifies the features of innovative business models being used as competitive tools in today's volatile markets, and describes the challenges involved in various approaches to implementing innovation. Innovation's role as a key driver of game-changing industry shifts is examined, and it is concluded that business model development and implementation are becoming a strategic imperative for most global players.
