The CNS is an organ with a unique profile of vulnerability to antineoplastic treatments. In many cases, CNS neurotoxicity is the dose-limiting side effect of treatment for systemic and CNS neoplasms. Novel methods of delivering radiation and chemotherapy agents have led to recognition of new forms of CNS neurotoxicity.
