Abstract

15.7 million U.S. children (including almost a quarter of a million Pennsylvania children) live in immigrant families. These newest arrivals are becoming a critical component of the changing demographics of the state's (and nation's) evolving population. A complex set of economic, social and cultural factors affect these youngsters and their families, which in turn can impact on the delivery of health services.
