OBJECTIVE: To develop a clinical strategy for detection of Congenital heart disease (CHD) in the newborn through a combination of clinical signs and pulse oximetry. DESIGN: Prospective longitudinal study. SETTING: Community level hospital in the city of Kochi, Kerala.
