Abstract

In the present study, the parameters of the T-shaped equivalent circuit of an induction motor (IM) are defined by way of experiment and by using a genetic algorithm. An algorithm is constructed for obtaining data about the performance characteristics of an IM through models created in the Matlab/Simulink environment. A virtual setup is developed by means of which a comparison is made of the performance characteristics of an IM, the parameters of which are obtained experimentally and by a genetic algorithm. The relative errors for the studied values are determined and reasonable grounds are given for the possibility of using a genetic algorithm to determine the parameters of the equivalent circuit.
