Abstract

The main objective of our research is to study the role of Information Technologies in the organizational design of a business ecosystem (Moore, 1993 and 1996; Iansiti and Levien, 2004). In an intense innovative context, building platform can structure the relations between the leader and the other members of this strategic community. The competition between the two leaders Airbus -- Boeing takes the form of a struggle between two different business ecosystems. The Boeing ecosystem presents these main characteristics: global, IT structuration, international diffusion of ideas and teams circulation, commonality by accommodation. The Airbus business ecosystem is more fragmented, territoriality structured, more hierarchic and based on a commonality by dependence. (English) [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR]
