Abstract

The article discusses the ways to prevent the legal risks relative to the use of social media among companies in the U.S. Human resources (HR) are advised to pay attention to the potential risks and resulting damage that may cause on the use of social media. It mentions the new Federal Trade Commission guidelines which took effect on December 1, 2009 designed to protect consumers from deceptive endorsements and advertising.
