Abstract
The conference `Desalination in Israel - Present and future' took place at the Technion Israel Institute of Technology, Haifa, Israel, on May 5-6, 1998. The aims of the conference were to disseminate information and to discuss desalination issues related to Israel and other Middle East countries and to reinforce the recognition, among decisions makers of seawater desalination in the future development of Israel.
