Abstract

The article presents a study that aims to compare the instantaneous median frequency (IMF) of the electromyography (EMG) signal of lower limb muscles between landing tasks in males. It notes that fifteen male athletes were included in the study and performed double leg vertical jumps with electrodes attached to rectus and biceps femoris and hip adductors. Findings suggest a pattern of motor recruitment compatible with strategies of anterior cruciate ligament (ACL) injury prevention.
