Abstract

In this study, an attempt was made to identify a regime where ion evaporation occurs at substantial rates from Taylor cones in vacuum. Specifically, the said regime was identified for formamide seeded with NaI at concentrations in the range of 1 M. Three ionization regimes were observed as the characteristic K/Q ratio increases.
