Abstract

We show that in a double two-photon correlated-spontaneous-emission laser, generation of squeezed light is compatible with atomic inversion by using the atomic coherence between two lower levels. The resulting device can yield, via resonant stimulated amplification, bright beams of squeezed light. © 1990 The American Physical Society.
