As automobiles become quieter, the noise of wiperblade rubber in motion may become a problem for passengers. To resolve this noise, especially the squeal noise, we constructed an equation of motion for the wiperblade vibration by observation and FEM stress analysis. Based on the derived equation, we discovered several important design and material items which can be utilized to reduce squeal noise.
