The article focuses on the increasing popularity of electronic books. A not-for-profit E-Book Week event, held to inform the public about the advantages of reading electronically, has drawn about 30,000 visitors in 2009. Jason Overby from the College of Charleston also explained that new features are making electronic books more useful. Information on VitalSource's Bookshelf etextbook platform is also provided.
