Abstract

Conservation is defined by the relation of investment to benefit at various times. Conceptual illustration of physical, economic and institutional interrelationships in resource conservation. Data on relationship between investment in two alternative areas and returns in some subsequent time period, and on relation of benefit to amount of investment in practice.
