It is attributed to the sport in general, and to team sports in a
specific way, a vast potential in the field of education in values.
However, ultimately, sport is an environment whose educational influence
depends on the orientation given to the practice and pedagogical action
that revolves around it. Based on these premises, the study analyzed the
influence of a comprehensive program of education in values for team
sports, in the system of values of the participants and their
performance at the heart of the sport. We used the Questionnaire on
Values in Team Sports (QVTS) in relation to the first object of research
and information from the notebook to live the values in sport, the
newspaper's class of students, the recording of the moments of shared
evaluation and interactions in class, in relation to the second. The
main results referred to a system of values consistent with an ethical
orientation of the sport that is maintained throughout the programme.
Also made explicit the positive coexistence, prosocial actions,
constructive positioning in situations of exclusion and discrimination,
the commitment to the sport performance and the negotiated resolution of
conflict situations.
