Experimental results on electrical conductivity for iodine-doped polyacetylene at concentrations above 1% molar ratio are presented. In conjunction with Park's data on the thermoelectric power for the same system these results support its microscopic description as an assembly of three-dimensional amorphous semiconducting islands separated by potential barriers. © 1981 The American Physical Society.
