After astatine (0) was mixed with 131I2, containing carrier I2, the sample was analyzed by means of radiogaschromatography and the peaks due to I2, AtI and At2 were observed. Further, the boiling point were estimated from the retention volume it terms of the semi-empiraical theory on gas chromatography; The boiling points of I2, AtI and At2 were 457, 486 and 503 K, respectively. The boiling point of At2, obtained in the present work is far smaller than the expected by the extrapolation of the lighter halogens.
