Abstract

Internet communities have received mostly negative appraisals among psycholo- gists. Being on line is viewed as damaging to one’s social relationships. In 1996, a group of therapists studying relational theory formed an online community. Our group has been a positive in? uence, expanding the idea that it is possible to have a vibrant and socially enhancing community online.
