Abstract

The management of network resources, defined as one owned by the partners of a business or that accesses through their relationships, is a general question in the development of alliances and agreements. The type of network resources that will be necessary for the company may be affected by the time of its life cycle and by if the company has an attitude of exploration or exploitation in the design and management of cooperative strategies. We propose a new framework of the life cycle as a continuum between young and established companies. This paper analyzes these relations in the airline industry globally. The results show the consolidated companies continue simultaneously conduct exploration and exploitation and that when they seek resources latter basically these are linked to knowledge and technology.
