Abstract

Both mechanical and electrical faults should be investigated carefully to get best operation of the induction motor. In this paper, a description of the diagnosis of the induction motor against unsymmetrical supply voltage and the broken rotor bar using the Motor Current Signature Analysis (MCSA) and Fast Fourier Transform (FFT) respectively has been explained. Investigations of the speed, torque, current and flux density have been done. The FTT investigation of the stator current to detect the broken rotor bar fault was performed. The control method used is the vector control.
