Abstract

The 16 September 2006 commissioning of HMAS Sirius stands as a milestone achievement for the Defence Materiel Organisation (DMO). The Sirius was commissioned ahead of schedule and under budget in particularly demanding circumstances. More than that though, the acquisition and modification of HMAS Sirius demonstrates rigorous, adaptive and innovative project management at its best.
