Abstract

The fact that many internationally renowned scientists have been educated in the former Soviet Union shows that many features of its education system are effective. In this session, we briefly describe useful features. Some of these features have been successfully implemented (with appropriate adjustments) in affinity research groups at the Department of Computer Science of the University of Texas at El Paso (UTEP). © 2006 IEEE.
