Abstract

As a model system for imperfect contacts at solid electrolytes, an electrode contact consisting of only one or a few point contacts is investigated. Impedance measurements of a CaF2 crystal with one silver electrode selectively attached to the sample are presented. The main features are interpreted by applying rigorous finite element calculations of the potential distribution and of the impedance of a corresponding 2-D model.
