Abstract

Human motion analysis is currently an important area of research which helps in solving many problems in indoor surveillance applications. This paper is an attempt to give an idea of human body tracking, modeling and activity analysis in surveillance area of monocular video sequences. In this paper, the various kinds of background modeling techniques have been discussed. The aim of the tracking is to find the moving objects between consecutive frames of sequences. Here, 2D and 3D human body tracking methods are presented. Human body modeling defines the body positions and activities in video sequences. In vision based systems, the modeling of human body is a very difficult job due to the complex nature of the human body and its activities. The detailed study has been made for 2D modeling, 3D modeling and human activity analysis
