Abstract

The use of a combination of IrCl3 with a series of ligands derived from the C2-symmetric diamine diphenylethanediamine (DPEN) forms a catalyst capable of the asymmetric hydrogenation of ketones in up to 85% ee. © 2009 Elsevier Ltd. All rights reserved.
