Abstract

The author discusses the possible benefits to be offered by web 2.0 technologies for student users. She highlights the 32 academic libraries in Canada, the U.S. and Great Britain which use Twitter exclusively to push out information. She notes that 10 among the 32 libraries were using Twitter more creatively, having direct interactions with their followers/users and creating community on Twitter.
