Making of the BPMN 2.0 Meta Model for Eclipse : Merge and Conquer

Abstract

Implementing the BPMN 2.0 Meta Model with Eclipse Modeling Framework (EMF) seems to be a useful and also simple task. How useful it is I have shown in the last article. However it was not as simple to create as you might have thought: Unfortunately OMG defines two official Meta Model s and file formats that such an implementation must consider. Fortunately EMF provides a solution for almost everything. Writing a little program that merges the two inputs does the job.
