Abstract

Fibromyalgia is a medical condition that affects approximately 5% of the population, although treatment options of this condition are often not well understood by clinicians. This script will guide the reader through a diagnostic approach and a multifaceted treatment strategy, showing that fibromyalgia can oftentimes be successfully treated by a general internist in the primary care setting.
