Abstract

The aqueous-phase reforming (APR) and Fischer-Tropsch (FT) synthesis have been combined in a single biphasic reactor. The APR of glycerol over Pt/Al 2O3 in the aqueous phase in the presence of an acid leads to partial formation of syngas, which transforms in the organic phase over hydrophobic Ru/C into long chain hydrocarbons. © the Partner Organisations 2014.
