Abstract

The transfer of mass, energy and momentum between small suspended particles and a gaseous environment are been studied to obtain corresponding scaling laws of fractal-like aggregates. These particles are produced by a vapor condensation combustion synthesis. Because of their optical, mechanical, catalytic and electrical properties, these particles are of technological importance. The aggregate geometry and the basic physical properties of the particles fulfill specific scaling laws numerically describing various transport properties between the aggregates and the carrier gas. 5 Refs.
