Abstract

This paper discusses the planning, executive and policy evaluation phases of the national action plan-antimicrobial management project to combat antimicrobial resistance in Taiwan. The roles of the Taiwan CDC, infectious diseases service, pharmacy, clinical microbiology service and computer technology in the planning phase, and the 3 levels for the implementation of the executive phase (project management centre, demonstration centres and participating hospitals) are described.
