A Negotiation Approach for Group Recommendation

This paper addresses the problem of group recom- mendation, that is, the selection of a set of items that are likely of interest to a group of users. To obtain the preferences of the group, we propose a negotiation mechanism between agents, each of them acting on behalf of one member of the group. This way, each user can define a different behaviour for the agent, which results in a more realistic social model. Moreover, our negotiation protocol allows agents to accept or reject a part of the proposal, which gives more agility to the negotiation process.
