Abstract

There has been a very large increase in recent months in the volume of binary postings on newsgroups, especially in the area of multipart binary postings of DVD and CD images and similar data. This article explains some of the reasons for this increase, and also some of the implications for forensic computing analysts. © 2006 Elsevier Ltd. All rights reserved.
