Abstract

In this work the scattering of an H-polarized surface wave from a circular dielectric cylinder and a perfectly conducting infinitely thin open circular screen is analyzed by the use of the surface potential approach. Efficient numerical algorithms have been devised and applications to the band-stop filters have been discussed. Sample numerical results for the total scattered power and transmission and reflection coefficients are presented. Two types of band-stop filters are compared. © 1996 John Wiley & Sons, Inc.
