The authors present a brief overview of previous research on the positive outcomes of bereavement and share the results of their study of nearly 400 adults who had lost a loved one approximately one year before. Through extensively content coded structured interviews, positive aspects of constructs including social bonds, spirituality, lifestyle, and emotion are explicated.
