This study evaluated a five-session group communication skills program involving six dating or engaged university student couples. Participants increased their knowledge about communication significantly, and also increased the amount of self-disclosure to partners. Subjects' evaluations indicated that the program, especially the uses of video tapes and behavioral rehearsal, improved communication behaviors. (Author)
