Abstract

The volume contains 54 papers and discussions presented at the Conference, 45 of which are indexed separately. The papers are grouped under the following general headings: fine particle science, technology and characterization; solid state sintering and grain growth; liquid phase sintering and post-firing technology; dielectric and magnetic ceramics; and energy related ceramics, including fast ion conductors, magnetohydrodynamic, nuclear and refractory ceramics, and non-oxide ceramics. Subjects covered include theoretical and experimental studies, processing and fabrication techniques, materials properties, microstructures, and others.
