Abstract

(from the cover) To encourage psycholegal research the European Association of Psychology and Law has recently been founded. This volume contains a selection of contributions to its conference held in Nuremberg (Germany). The authors represent [the] experience[s] of 14 nationalities, mainly from Europe and North America. They deal with the following topics: general perspectives on psychology and law; explanation, treatment, and prevention of offending; psychology and the police; eyewitness testimony; children as victims and witnesses in abuse cases; juridical procedure and decision-making; forensic psychology in civil law [and] history of legal psychology in different countries.
